Film premiere, community gathering mark World AIDS Day in Provincetown

“…PROVINCETOWN — In observance of World AIDS Day, Monday, Dec. 1, the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod is premiering the documentary “It Is the Worst of Times, It Is the Best of Times,” at 5:15 p.m. at Waters Edge Cinema (second floor, Whaler’s Wharf), 237 Commercial St., Provincetown. The film was created by Bruce De Ste. Croix, Natale Pasquale and Dorothy Palanza, all three of Provincetown. Seating is limited but tickets are still available at watersedgecinema.org and the box office.

Immediately following the film, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Support Group and the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House play host to a community gathering in remembrance of those lost to the epidemic. The gathering, which is open to everyone, including those who could not attend the screening, takes place at the meeting house, 236 Commercial St. Refreshments, including hot soups, will be served.
