Helma kicks off

Based on the book by Dorothy Palanza and Ute Krause this easter film for “Die Sendung mit der Maus” (“The programme with the mouse”) gives a very special answer to the question: Where do the easter eggs come from?

All chickens at the chicken-school lay beautiful white eggs. Only Helma`s eggs are coloured – red, blue and yellow. With these eggs she will not reach next grade! In the hovel she finds a paint pot with white colour and paints a red egg to white to be able to show it to her teacher. To make sure nobody finds out about the other eggs, in the night before easter she dresses like a bunny and hides all of them somewhere in the courtyard. An the next morning – all animals are crazy for looking for easter eggs.
